Pre-Anesthesia Instructions:
A licensed Anesthesia Professional will administer your anesthesia. It is very important that you call the surgery center to discuss your anesthesia care with one of our staff anesthesiologists forty-eight (48) hours prior to your surgery. Please inform the anesthesiologist of your medical history, allergies, and any previous surgery you may have had. If you become ill or develop a fever, be sure to call your surgeon's office as early as possible since the surgery may need to be rescheduled.
-
Do not eat or drink anything eight (8) hours prior to surgery, unless otherwise instructed by the
anesthesia staff.
-
Check with your physician regarding the administration of your routine medications before
surgery and we will discuss this again during your pre-anesthesia call.
-
Make arrangements for someone to drive you home after surgery.
